SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular, to new tumour markers, and can be used in medicine. Invention discloses a new reagent for detecting methylation of the promoter region of the COL4A1 gene in a sample obtained from a patient. Invention also relates to a method for identifying the presence of pathology in a patient suffering from cancer, in particular, from colorectal cancer, using the above reagent.
EFFECT: creation of new tumour markers for identifying a pathology in patients with cancer.
