SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental biology, medicine and pharmacology and can be used in the study of the mechanisms of development of connective tissue pathology and the development of methods for the treatment and prevention of diseases. The method includes the formation of control and experimental groups of animals, the introduction of the drug, registration of locomotor activity and measurement of units of behavior in animals of the control and experimental groups in the “open field” model, and the introduction of the drug is carried out to an experimental group of laboratory animals, and video registration of horizontal motor activity of animals is carried out within 3-5 minutes in the “open field” model, which is previously delineated into a central circle and two concentric rows with sectors equal in area, and a wall is placed along the perimeter. Then the animals are placed against the wall of the model and the number of sectors crossed by animals, the number of racks, the number of grooming acts and the number of acts of defecation and boluses are determined, and they make it possible to judge the development of pathology of the musculoskeletal system in laboratory animals. As a preparation, laboratory animals of the experimental group are injected, for example, complete Freund’s adjuvant, subcutaneously, into the right hind limb in a volume of 0.1 ml per 200 g of body weight.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the informativeness, reliability and accuracy of the testing method, reducing material costs by decreasing the number of experimental animals and labor costs of highly skilled specialists, as well as in the availability of instrumental support for the method, its non-invasiveness, expressiveness and in the possibility of studying the process in dynamics.
