DEVICE FOR PROCESSING POWDER MATERIALS IN RF INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H05H1/24 B22F9/14

Abstract RU 2772114 C1

FIELD: powder materials processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for producing and processing powder materials in inductively coupled plasma. Processing of powder materials in inductively coupled plasma is carried out in a device consisting of interconnected plasma torch, vertically located reactor, into which the plasma flow from the plasma torch flows from above. The reactor is made in the form of a cylinder of variable cross section, the upper part of which is a truncated cone, the middle part of which is a cylinder, and the lower part of the reactor is a truncated cone turned upside down with a large diameter base. The size ratios are: the inlet diameter of the reactor is equal to the outlet diameter of the plasmatron; the height of the upper part of the reactor in the form of a truncated cone is 4.67-6.97 of the outlet diameter of the plasma torch; the diameter of the base of the upper part, equal to the diameter of the central cylindrical part and the diameter of the larger base of the truncated cone of the lower part of the reactor, is 3.81-5.24 of the output diameter of the plasma torch; the height of the cylindrical part of the reactor is 1.51-2.26 of the outlet diameter of the plasma torch; the height of the truncated cone of the lower part of the reactor is 2.88-4.3 of the outlet diameter of the plasma torch; the diameter of the outlet hole of the lower part, corresponding to the top of the lower truncated cone, is 1.68-2.32 of the outlet diameter of the plasma torch.

EFFECT: elimination of vortex flows arising in the condensation chamber by optimizing its geometric shape and increasing the efficiency of plasma processing of powder material.
