FIELD: pulverising.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing particles of a powder material, structurally gradient in terms of oxygen affinity. A powder of the initial charge containing chemical elements for the formation of the core and the shell is directed into the flow of thermal plasma formed in an inert gas. The thermal plasma is formed by an electric arc, high-frequency, or ultra-high-frequency plasma torch, wherein oxygen in an amount from 0.01 to 2 vol.% is added to the inert gas. A powder of a metal alloy is used as said initial charge, melted in the flow of thermal plasma forming spherical droplets subjected to surface oxidation due to interaction with oxygen. Powder particles with a metal core with a minimal degree of oxygen affinity among the metals contained in said alloy and a shell based on oxides of metals with a higher degree of oxygen affinity among the metals contained in said alloy compared to the core metal are formed as a result.
EFFECT: directional production of structurally gradient powder materials formed in the processing of the initial charge in a flow of thermal plasma without involving the processes of evaporation and condensation of the substance is ensured.
