SUBSTANCE: proposed is a disposable diaper (1) including an absorbent element (4) and a top sheet (2). The top sheet (2) includes a first sheet (20) and a second sheet (21). Both sheets (20) and (21) are partially connected to form multiple connected areas (22), and the first sheet (20) has multiple protrusions (23) protruding from the second sheet (21) in the direction of the side of the skin of the wearer, in a part other than the connected areas (22). The protrusions (23) include first protrusions (23A) and second protrusions (23B), and when the top sheet (2) is visible in the plan view, an area (23R) with second protrusions is formed, including the second protrusions (23B) surrounded by the multiple first protrusions (23A). When the top sheet (2) is visible in the plan view, the connected areas (22) include an inner connected area (22A1) in the area (23R) with second protrusions.

EFFECT: creation of a functional disposable diaper.
