SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of information technology, namely, to the field of diagnostics of the operability of a monitor. The system for confirming the output of the required image by the video monitor includes a video monitor, the screen whereof in the image output mode comprises an area for displaying a control colour signal, an RGB photodetector, wherein the outputs of the channels of the RGB photodetector are connected to the corresponding inputs of a multichannel analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), and a colour spot in the monitor control area is formed in a video image adder by transforming the initial video image - superimposing a video signal supplied to the adder from a reference signal former on such a video image supplied to the input of the adder.
