FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely ophthalmology, and can be used for eye prosthetics using 3D modeling technology. Computed tomography (CT) of the patient’s musculoskeletal stump is performed. In this case, the scanning is carried out in two phases, namely before and after the introduction of a contrast preparation with the same parameters, including a spiral scanning mode, the voltage on the X-ray tube is no lower than 120 kV, the current is no less than 100 mA, the scanning thickness is no more than 2 mm and/or the thickness of the reconstructed slice is no more than 1 mm. At the same time, the patient’s position on the back, the axis of rotation of the gantry is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the patient’s body, the scanning area includes the head area from the level of the brow arches to the suborbital edge of the orbits. After the first phase, 0.2-0.5 ml of a solution of a low-resinous iodine-containing contrast agent is injected into the upper and lower sections of the conjunctival sac, which is prepared by mixing an iodine-containing contrast agent containing 300-400 mg of iodine per 1 ml with an isotonic solution in a ratio of at least 1:20. Then the second phase of scanning is performed. After that, a personalized three-dimensional virtual model of the eye prosthesis is created.
EFFECT: method provides for ocular prosthetics taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient’s musculoskeletal stump due to the declared CT protocol.
