FIELD: filtering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technology related to developing methods and apparatus for recycling from types of radioactive waste (RW) formed in the process of fabrication of nuclear fuel and recycling spent nuclear fuel: highly efficient aerosol air filters saturated with solid particles - fissile material carriers. Proposed is a method for extracting actinides from spent high-efficiency particulate air filters, wherein after oxidising firing for 2 hours at 300°C, the filter fabric is removed from the body, and the filter is washed for no less than 60 minutes in a parallelepiped-shaped reaction volume with a solution at a temperature up to 65-70°C, containing 15 wt.% nitric acid and subjected to constant turbulent stirring in an ultrasonic field at a frequency of 20.9 to 23.9 kHz and a specific power of no less than 5.6 W/dm3, formed by an array of emitters located in at least three faces of the parallelepiped.
EFFECT: proposed method provides a possibility of transferring more than 98% of actinides into a solution that can be directed for extraction thereof by sorption or extraction methods.
