FIELD: tightness testing devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for testing devices for tightness. Essence: the tested sample (22) is placed in the volume (20) of the film chamber (10) formed by the films (16, 18). Moreover, the film chamber (10) also contains the measured volume (34, 36), hermetically separated from the volume (20) and connected to the atmosphere through the ventilation valve (40). Close the film chamber (10) and then evacuate it. The measured volume (34, 36) is controlled during closing and evacuation of the film chamber (10). In this case, the ventilation valve (40) before and when closing the film chamber (10) is closed if the pressure in the measured volume (34, 36) is below a predetermined threshold value, and opens as soon as the pressure in the measured volume (34, 36) at closing the film chamber (10) exceeds this threshold.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of leak detection, increasing the accuracy of detecting large leaks when testing large samples.
