FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. An insulating agent is applied to the cornea, it is incised with a trephine, the cornea is excised, four preliminary interrupted sutures are applied, a donor corneal graft is placed on the operating bed and fixed to the edges of the burr hole with four interrupted sutures, removed from under the graft through the free space of the excised recipient cornea, final fixation of the graft with a continuous suture. Before excision of the recipient's cornea, the cohesive viscoelastic PROVISK is injected into the anterior chamber of the eye until it is filled to create an insulating layer between the graft, silicone, and the iris. Before fixing the graft, the adhesive viscoelastic VISCOAT is applied to its endothelium and the surface of the cornea of the recipient until their surfaces are completely lubricated.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to prevent silicone leakage and its entry into the anterior chamber, reduce the risk of damage to the corneal graft endothelium, reduce the "open palate" time to a minimum, avoid sudden pressure drops in the eye cavity and reduce the risk of possible inflammatory postoperative complications.
