SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to neurosurgery, and can be used for radiofrequency thermal destruction of epileptogenic areas of the brain. Conduct preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electroencephalographic localization of epileptic foci. After that, the MRI data in the DICOM format is transferred to the planning station of the robotic system, with the help of which the implantation trajectories of each of the deep electrodes are planned. Then the general plan with trajectories for implantation of deep electrodes in the operating room is loaded into a robotic installation. Through a hole in the dura mater, deep cerebral electrodes are implanted by the transcutaneous method into the brain parenchyma, and they are fixed. After that, the ictal zone is determined and radiofrequency destruction of epileptic foci is carried out at the necessary electrode contacts with a current strength of 1 to 5 watts, an exposure of 1 to 5 minutes.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in selectivity and a decrease in the invasiveness of the destruction of epileptogenic areas of the brain due to preoperative planning.
