FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. The method for blocking an intramedullary rod for the treatment of juxta-articular fractures of long tubular bones consists in using a rod with a longitudinal screw slit made in the distal part with a length of 20 mm and a width equal to the thickness of the locking screw. At the same time, under control of the image intensifier, a locking screw is inserted into the distal fragment, choosing the place and direction of insertion parallel to the plane of the fracture.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the possibilities and variability for blocking the rod and increasing the stability of osteosynthesis.
