FIELD: automatic control systems.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and a method for controlling multiple pumps and a computer-readable medium with instructions for executing the method. The system (5) contains a control module (7), a processing module (9), a communication interface (11) and a storage module (13). The module (7) is configured to change the number of operating pumps of the system (3). The interface (11) is configured to receive a signal indicating the power consumption and speed information of at least one of the operating pumps before and after at least two different changes in the number of operating pumps. The module (9) is designed to determine before and after at least two different changes in the number of operating pumps, in the absence of differential pressure and flow measurement, at least two approximated pump characteristics, each of which is determined by a pair of parameters representing the parameters of a scaled model simulating the operating performance of one of the pumps of the system. Module (13) is designed with the ability to store a pair of parameters.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at quickly determining the energy efficiency of the number of operating pumps without measuring and monitoring the pressure drop and flow.
