FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics. The hygroma is affected with laser radiation. At the same time, an injection needle is first installed in the cavity of the synovial cyst under the control of ultrasound. Then the contents of the hygroma are aspirated with a syringe and its volume is measured. After that, a quartz light guide is inserted into the cyst cavity using the same needle and endocavity photothermal destruction of the hygroma shell is carried out by continuous laser radiation with a wavelength of 1.94 microns with a power of 1 to 3 W for 2-5 seconds, implemented by the LSP “IRE-Pole” laser device.
EFFECT: method for endocavity laser destruction of hygroma is highly effective, prevents relapses of the disease, provides good clinical and aesthetic results of treatment of this pathology in children and adults.
