FIELD: medicine; laser cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: treatment of congenital giant pigment nevi (CGPN) is carried out with laser radiation of blue spectral range with wavelength (λ) 450 nm, pulse repetition frequency 50 Hz, pulse duration 0.5 sec, time between pulses is 0.25 sec, laser spot diameter is 1.0 mm. Layer-by-layer removal of the CGPN involves using laser radiation at a scanning speed of 1 cm/s, with overlapping of laser spots by 0.25% of their area in one pass over the surface. When removing separate structural elements of CGPN, dissection is performed along the circumference of the removed area. Laser radiation power depends on the child's age and thickness of the pigment formation from the skin surface.
EFFECT: method provides precision graduated photodestruction of CGPN tissues with preservation of skin appendages, which promotes active regenerative wound process with predominance of central epithelization from preserved fragments of skin appendages, reduction of treatment time and achievement of good clinical and aesthetic result.
