FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and pertains to a new strain of type A foot-and-mouth disease virus Aphtae epizooticae of the Picornaviridae family, Aphtovirus genus, deposited in the Collection of strains of microorganisms of FGBI ARRIAH under registration No. 339 - dep/20-127 - GCSM FGBI ARRIAH strain A 2205/G - IV type A foot-and-mouth disease virus. The presented strain is reproduced in the continuous cultures of Siberian ibex kidney cells (PSGK-30), in the continuous culture of porcine kidney cells IBRS-2, in the continuous culture of Syrian hamster kidney cells BHK - 21/2-17 for 19 to 20.5 hours of incubation, the virus yield reaches values of 2.13±0.05 mcg/cm3 total viral protein, retaining the initial characteristics when passivating in a cell culture for 5 to 10 passages.
EFFECT: presented strain can be used for manufacturing biological agents for diagnosis and specific prevention of type A foot-and-mouth disease and for monitoring the antigenic activity of vaccines against foot-and-mouth disease.
