SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to devices for cutting root crops. The device contains a housing and a rotor. The body consists of two parts: the lower one is fixed, with an unloading window and the upper one is folding, with a loading window. The upper part of the body has a hinged loop connection on one side, and a screw clamp on the other side. The rotor is a set of pairs of drums rotating towards each other. The drums are fixed on axles. One of the drums is driven through a safety clutch from a gear motor. Rotation from one drum to another is carried out through a gear train. U-shaped grooves are symmetrically located on the outer surface of the drums, in which knives are installed and fixed in these grooves with the help of an axis fixed from displacement on both sides of the drum by a washer and a cotter pin. Adjusting sleeves are located between the knives, with the help of which the required cutting thickness is selected.

EFFECT: use of the invention will improve productivity, reliability and cutting quality of root crops.
