FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to pediatrics, otorhinolaryngology, and is intended for early diagnosis of otogenic intracranial complications in children. In children, the age is determined, the presence of acute non-perforative purulent otitis media, and at the age of 6 months to 16 years, a general blood test is performed: the hematocrit level is assessed, the leukocyte shift indices (hereinafter referred to as LSI) are calculated using the formula: LSI = (eosinophils + basophils + myelocytes + metamyelocytes + stab + segmented)% / (monocytes + lymphocytes)%. With hematocrit values of 34.2 or less, ISL of 3.98 or more, intracranial otogenic complications are diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention provides a simple, effective, cost-effective method for diagnosing intracranial otogenic complications in children.
