FIELD: testing of military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining characteristics of laser guiding means of high-precision ammunition. Method includes determining the deviation of the laser radiation spot from the aiming point and the probability of retention of laser radiation on the target during the illumination cycle. When implementing the method, a typical target is selected, given in a tactical and technical task for a sample, from an already existing at the receiving site of the test field of the firing range, video filming of the laser radiation spot on the target through a light filter, application of a virtual grid using software and further processing of the record in order to obtain characteristics of the laser target designator.

EFFECT: simplification of method and improvement of accuracy of processing of test results.
