SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmic surgery. When performing anterior capsulorhexis, the energy of the femtosecond laser (FSL) is increased to 15 mcJ. The formed paracenteses are then opened, followed by introducing viscoelastic into the anterior chamber under the flap of the anterior capsule in the area of performed capsulorhexis, and the anterior capsule is mobilised in the incised sections. The fibrotic sections of the anterior capsule, incised using FSL, are dissected with collet scissors so that the radius of capsulorhexis in the area of the fibrotically altered anterior capsule is 0.1 mm less than the radius of capsulorhexis performed using FSL. The main incision is then opened, the nucleus is separated, the fragments are subjected to phacoemulsification, and the intraocular lens is implanted.

EFFECT: method allows for an increase in the efficiency of capsulorhexis of a given size and shape on eyes with a fibrotically altered anterior capsule using FSL and a reduction in the risk of radial ruptures of the anterior capsule.
