FIELD: life-saving.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of emergency rescue equipment and can be used in various means of managing dangerous hydrological phenomena for the purpose of preventing environmental disasters. In particular, the invention relates to methods for creating protective barriers capable of preventing mechanical damage inflicted to water-filled dams by objects moving in water. The method for protecting water-filled dams from mechanical damage inflicted by objects moving in water consists in creating means of protecting the soft shell of the dam from mechanical damage. Pressure fire hoses are used as means of protecting the soft shell of the dam from mechanical damage, supplied with the dams for filling with water. The hoses are highly resistant to mechanical impact and have a positive buoyancy. Protection can be provided at different height levels of the dam by changing the air pressure. The hoses are filled with air by means of an air blower (compressor), also supplied with the dam for purging after application. A sufficiently long-length protective line can be created by connecting the hoses using hose heads. The length of the hoses is 20 m, which generally corresponds to or is a multiple of the length of a single module of the dam. The hoses can be secured to the dam either by means of cables supplied with the dam or by pushing under the protective mesh of the dam. A pressure fire hose is a flexible pipeline, and therefore repeats the configuration of the dam at possible bends thereof, tightly fitting to the dam. The hose also additionally presses the web of the protective casing against the dam.
EFFECT: invention ensures the operable condition and integrity of soft water-filled dams, providing protection thereof from objects moving in water.
