FIELD: nuclear power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a floating power nuclear reactor. The reactor includes a tank with water, as well as a barge floating in the specified tank. The reactor contains a self-cooling structure of a reactor containment and an emergency heat exchange system. In this case, the nuclear reactor contains a vertical first containment with a central section, an upper section, a lower section and an inner compartment. The first containment is attached to the barge, and it has an outer part, which is in contact with water in the mentioned tank, and a case of a vertical nuclear reactor with an upper section and a lower section located inside the mentioned inner compartment of the mentioned first containment. The mentioned tank with water, and the barge are connected by a set of suspension units, wherein the mentioned suspension units allow for the barge to move up and down relatively to the tank, while supporting the mentioned barge at a certain level in case of an impact of an external force. Suspension units also prevent a contact of the barge and the tank.
EFFECT: providing the safety of a nuclear reactor and its protection from external impacts, such as a plane strike, a rocket strike, strong wind or earthquake.
