FIELD: nuclear physics and engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to underground power nuclear reactor. Nuclear reactor is protected by a protective shell connected to an elongated and hollow impact tunnel which passes from one end of the protective shell. At that, at the second end of the above protective shell there is a movable door capable of moving from a normally closed position to an open position when an explosion or a shock wave occurs in a nuclear reactor. Impact tunnel forms impact chamber with multiple spaced apart debris deflectors. Impact chamber has an upper wall with a vaulted opening, which is selectively closed by a vault.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of damping the shock wave in case of explosion of the underground power nuclear reactor, as well as the possibility of moving the reactor from its underground protective shell for repair or replacement.
