FIELD: biotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: group of sequences of nucleic acids that bind with a target molecule on the surface of an X-spermatozoon of a bull is described. A composition is also described, which contains such nucleic acids, and the method to separate X- and Y-spermatozoa of a bull. The method includes contact of a composition containing one or more molecules of nucleic acids with bull spermatozoa. Further molecules of nucleic acids are bound with target molecules on the X-spermatozoon. In the end the populations of X-spermatozoa and Y-spermatozoa are separated. The invention can be used in livestock sector and veterinary science.
