FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in orthodontic treatment. An orthodontic appliance is used, comprising: a base element attached to two or more screws implanted near the median palatal suture of the palatine bone; an arcuate element in the form of a rocker having a first connecting part connected to the base element, and a second connecting part located near the palatal side of the tooth; and a traction member made of elastic wire material and a traction tooth as a traction object. The traction member has a traction base part attached to the second connecting part, a traction fixing part engaged with a bracket attached to a traction object located at a distance from the traction base part, and a traction force generating part located between the traction base part and the traction fixing part, and applying to the bracket a rearward thrust force and a forward rotational force, or a forward thrust force and a rearward rotational force by means of the thrust holding portion. The traction fixation part has a curved part, on which the wire material, passing along the dentition, is plastically deformed and bent towards the tooth root. The curved part is engaged with the protruding part protruding to the palatal side in the bracket.

EFFECT: device allows the tooth to be displaced while suppressing the impact of turning back.
