SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the composition for oral care and the method for its application. A composition containing a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride, polyvinylpyrrolidone, an anionic surfactant based on ethoxylated alkyl sulfate having the formula RO(CH₂CH₂O)nSO₃M, where R is an alkyl or alkenyl group containing 8 to 18 carbon atoms; M is a solubilizing cation containing sodium, potassium, ammonium, substituted ammonium or mixtures thereof; n denotes the degree of ethoxylation from 0.5 to 3, a pigment having a color tone angle, h, in the CIELAB system from 220 to 320 degrees, and a physiologically acceptable carrier, while the copolymer and polyvinylpyrrolidone are present in a mass ratio from 1:15 to 1:4. A method for whitening an individual’s teeth is also proposed, including the application stages of the above composition to at least one surface of the individual’s teeth.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions provides enhanced deposition of pigments in the presence of surfactants.
