FIELD: elementary particle physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of elementary particle physics, in particular to precision measuring systems for the parameters of a beam of emitted particles. The substance of the invention consists in measuring the beam density by integrating the number of particle traces in the image of each of the CCD camera frames in one measurement, recorded by a solid-state detector in the cross section of a quasi-homogeneous radiation beam, using a computer, while the measurement is carried out in the threshold mode of the CCD camera in combination using the numerical value of the threshold.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of determining the distribution of radiation density over the cross section of the particle beam with high reliability.
