FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to methods for laboratory diagnostics. Cryocooling of the sample surface is carried out for histological and immunohistochemical studies in liquid nitrogen. For this purpose, the sample is pre-cooled at negative temperature from -1 to -15°C, then fixed in a microtome vise with clamps. A fibrous material in the form of filter paper is placed on the sample using tweezers. The fibrous material is affected with liquid nitrogen, 0.808 g/cm3, specific gravity 0.0008 g per 1 mm2. Next, a slice of the required thickness of the biomaterial is cut off using a microtome.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain histological sections from samples without first fixing them, which reduces the preparation time of samples for examination, and also prevents cracking of samples by eliminating direct exposure of the sample to liquid nitrogen.
