SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, namely, to a method for producing myricitrin from the bark of eastern black walnut, exhibiting neurotropic activity. Method for producing myricitrin from the bark of eastern black walnut, exhibiting neurotropic activity, with pre-production of water-alcohol extraction and with use of the method for column chromatography on a sorbent, wherein the extraction is produced from the bark of eastern black walnut using 70% ethyl alcohol in the "raw material-extractant" ratio of 1:5, applying the fractional maceration method, the resulting extraction is evaporated on a rotary vacuum unit until a thick extract is produced; the target substance is eluted with a chloroform - ethyl alcohol 96% mixture at a ratio of 60:40, monitoring the separation of substances by chromatography in the system of solvents: chloroform - ethyl alcohol 96% - water 26:16:3; myricitrin-containing eluates are combined and evaporated, resulting in a precipitate, which, after separation from the mother solution, constitutes a finished product with a myricitrin yield of 1.7% and a degree of purity of 99.5%.

EFFECT: above method allows producing a target substance with a yield of 1.7 wt.% of the air-dry raw materials and a degree of purity of 99.5%.
