FIELD: nuclear power plants.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nuclear power plant with a liquid metal lead coolant. The installation contains a reactor with a liquid-metal lead coolant or its alloys and a shielding gas system. The active zone, steam generators and circulation means, such as circulation pumps, are located under the free level of the coolant. The chamber for supplying coolant to the main circulation pump is made in the form of a confuser with a vertical perforated bracket placed in it, and the gas cavity of the chamber communicates with the water vapor condenser in the gas system.
EFFECT: invention provides the ability to optimize the flow at the suction of the axial pump impeller, eliminating the possibility of vortex formation, preventing coarse particles from entering the suction of the main circulation pump, increasing the rate of removal of water vapor from the gas cavity near the coolant supply chamber to the main circulation pump.
