FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of lighting engineering, in particular, to powerful low-pressure gas discharge UV lamps intended for treating water and air media and surfaces. The lamp base, in addition to the contact pins connected with the electrodes of the lamp, comprises an additional contact pin intended for control of the modes and condition of the lamp in the course of operation. Variants of implementation of the face surface of the base body allow for an increase in the area of interface of the base with the installation contact connector of the lamp and for a more secure cohesion. The base body is equipped with a circular rim for use of the spring grips ensuring high security of the connection of the base with the contact connector. A mark is made on the body of the contact connector to facilitate the orientation of the required position of the amalgam during installation of the UV lamp.
EFFECT: simplified control over the working parameters and condition of the amalgam lamp in the process of operation and increase in the reliability of connection of the base with the contact connector.
