FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to an electrosurgical generator for generating high-power microwave frequency pulses. The electrosurgical generator contains an amplifier circuit. The amplifier circuit contains a microwave signal generator, a modulator, an amplifier module, and a supply structure. The microwave signal generator generates microwave electromagnetic radiation. The modulator is made with the possibility of generation of pulses of microwave electromagnetic radiation in such a way that an output microwave signal contains a sequence of microwave pulses, a duty cycle of which is equal to or less than 20%, while the duration of each microwave pulse is equal to or less than 0.1 s. The amplifier module is connected to the modulator and is made with the possibility of increasing the power of pulses of microwave EM radiation coming from it. The amplifier module contains an array of amplifiers connected in parallel. In this case, output signals from the array of amplifiers are summed to obtain an output microwave signal. The supply structure is designed to transmit the output microwave signal to a probe.
EFFECT: electrosurgical generator is provided, containing an amplifier circuit capable of generating powerful microwave frequency pulses for coagulation or ablation of biological tissue.
