SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology. An electrosurgical device for tightening ligaments using microwave energy contains a sensor that is designed to obtain information about the treatment area. Based on this information, the energy transfer profile is determined. The energy transfer profile is chosen in such a way as to lead to the determination and implementation of the required thermal effects in the target tissue (for example, ligaments, tendons, etc.) without undesirable thermal side effects. The energy transfer profile can be based on the complex resistance or attenuation coefficients and/or phase of the body tissue type in the treatment area.
EFFECT: with this device, energy can be accurately transferred to the target tissue.
