FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave amplifiers, in particular to a microwave amplifier configuration for use together with an electrosurgical device for the treatment of biological tissue with microwave energy. The electrosurgical device for electrosurgery contains a microwave amplifier installed in a probe. The microwave amplifier contains a transistor and a load circuit connected to an output of the transistor to form a waveshape of an amplified microwave signal. The load circuit contains the main matching circuit; a half-wave transfer line for the second harmonic frequency, located between the transistor output and the main matching circuit; a quarter-wave matching train and five-quarter-wave matching train for the third harmonic frequency, located on the half-wave transfer line; and a quarter-wave matching train for the second harmonic frequency and a quarter-wave matching train for the main frequency, located on the half-wave transfer line.
EFFECT: reduction in losses usually occurring in the transfer of high-power electromagnetic microwave (EM) energy to a probe of an electrosurgical device.
