METHOD FOR TOPOGRAPHICALLY ORIENTED LASER TREATMENT OF SUBACTIVE CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULAR MEMBRANES OF EXTRAFOVEAL LOCALIZATION ON A NAVIGATIONAL LASER UNIT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B18/20 A61B34/10

Abstract RU 2777740 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for treatment of extrafoveal choroidal neovascular membrane (CNVM). In case of CNVM type 2, the patient is preliminarily subjected to optical coherence tomography in angio-mode (OCT-A), with the help of which the localization and area of CNVM are determined. Then, a color photograph of the fundus is performed on a Navilas 577s navigation laser. Digital OCT-A images are superimposed and compared with a color photograph of the fundus and topographically oriented laser coagulation is performed over the entire determined area of the CNVM. Parameters of laser coagulation: laser spot diameter - 100 microns, exposure - 0.05-0.1 s, power - 80-240 mW, wavelength - 577 nm. OCT-A is performed one month after the treatment. In case of scarring of CNVM, dynamic observation is recommended to the patient. If there are signs of continued growth of CNVM, repeated laser coagulation is performed with the above parameters until complete scarring.

EFFECT: method provides for stopping the growth of HNVM with its gradual regression due to laser coagulation with the specified parameters.
