Installation for feeding bars (B) to one or more user machines located downstream, comprises a support plane, zone (12) for feeding bars, transfer device (18), a plurality of retention and transfer units. Support plane comprises a unit for transfer of bars (B) in direction of movement (Z) from zone (12) and to zone (12) of bars supply. Holding and transfer unit comprises at least two holding elements (16) located at a distance from each other and aligned in the longitudinal direction of movement, and at least two movement devices (17) connected to holding elements (16). Retaining elements (16) support the bundle of rods at least in the release position, in which they are located above the support plane.

EFFECT: as a result, the possibility of automated delivery of bars to machines is provided in an orderly manner without downtime of machines.
