FIELD: nuclear reactors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacer grids of fuel assemblies (FA) of nuclear reactors. The spacer grating consists of a rim surrounding the grating along the perimeter and cells, each of which is made in the form of a multifaceted tube and is provided with internal protrusions. The protrusions are made in the form of a flat surface conditionally divided into three sections along the length of the cell, two extreme sections of which are parallel to the axis of the cell and are made with a constant width, and the third section of the surface of the inner protrusion is transitional from the first extreme section to the second extreme section, is made of variable width and is located at an inclination to the cell axis. Wherein the angle of inclination to the cell axis depends on the difference in the diameters of the circles inscribed in the two extreme sections. Embodiments of the invention include different execution of the sections of the surface of the protrusions. According to any of the four options, at least one of the ends of the cell is blunted.

EFFECT: decrease in the radial rigidity of the cell, as a result, a decrease in the efforts of the fuel rod loading during the assembly of fuel assemblies, a decrease in mechanical damage to the fuel rod cladding during assembly of the fuel assemblies, as well as compensation for gaps between the fuel rod claddings and SG cells during operation of the FA, as well as the possibility of optimizing the process of manufacturing SG cells and assembling FA.
