SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons and military equipment, in particular, to apparatus for moving a target. Apparatus for controlling the movement of a moving target in a vertical plane comprises a carrier, a silhouette image of the target placed thereon, a system of drive apparatus with flexible rods (winches with individual drives) ensuring the movement of the carrier along a set trajectory, and a set of control and communication equipment. The system of drive apparatus comprises two winches with individual drives and flexible rods, located higher than the expected trajectory of movement of the target, and the mobile carrier is made with a weight ensuring the tensioning of the flexible rods of the drive apparatus. The flexible rods may be made of a transparent material or from bands with the orientation of the edges thereof perpendicular to the plane of set movement of the carrier. The drives are distanced by no less than the width of the target space. The flexible rods are inclined to the horizontal surface.

EFFECT: simplification of the structure and software of the control equipment.
