FIELD: gas generating devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ensuring the safety of handling gas generating devices containing pyrotechnic and chemically active materials during transportation and storage. A sealed receiver vessel is connected to the outlet fitting of the gas generating device through a pipeline, while its volume and strength are chosen with a margin based on the volume and pressure of the hazardous gas generated by the gas generator, taking into account the gas temperature in the receiver, with subsequent extraction of gas from the receiver vessel by bleeding it through the valve fitting of the pipeline to the technological stand for disposal. Receiver parameters are selected from the following ratio:

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the method for ensuring the protection of personnel and the public from the effects of hazardous gases from gas-generating devices during and after real long-term fires.
