SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to predict the duration of the relapse-free period of soft tissue sarcomas of the extremities in middle-aged and elderly women. In the blood serum taken from women before surgery for the removal of soft tissue sarcoma of the extremities, as well as in the tissues of the tumor - OP and paratumoral zone - PZ, taken during the operation, the levels of VEGFA and VEGFC are determined by enzyme immunoassay. The ratios of VEGFA blood/PZ, VEGFC blood/OP and VEGFC blood/PZ are calculated. When the ratio of VEGFC blood/OD is greater than or equal to 0.01, VEGFC blood/PZ is greater than or equal to 0.01 and VEGFA blood/PZ is greater than or equal to 0.90, a remission period of up to three years is predicted. When the ratio of VEGFC blood/OD is less than 0.01, VEGFC blood/PZ is less than 0.01, and VEGFA blood/PZ is less than 0.90, the remission period is three years or more.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict the duration of the relapse-free period of soft tissue sarcomas of the extremities in middle-aged and elderly women due to the fact that even at the stage of surgical treatment of the disease, the claimed method makes it possible to identify prognostic factors for the duration of remission.
