FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental oncology. Skin and muscles are incised in layers starting from an anterior surface of a right abdomen of mouse 5 mm above a hip joint. Incision is completed 5 mm above a knee joint, and the following is separated by blunt and sharp techniques with using microsurgical instruments: a femoral artery, a femoral vein, a femoral nerve along an inner surface of thigh. Neurovascular bundle is transected and ligated at the level of a middle one-third of thigh; a posterior free extremity is amputated at 5 mm from the ligatured neurovascular bundle. Human soft tissue sarcoma tumour fragment is placed with size 4×1×1 mm3 into the femur, fixing with one ligature knot in the center, suturing the biceps muscle of thigh. Postoperative wound is closed with a continuous blanket suture.
EFFECT: method allows to obtain an orthotopic patient-like model of human soft tissue sarcoma (STS) having structural and physiological features and reflecting a similar picture of the formation of a tumour lesion of tubular bones in a human, studying the etiology, pathogenesis, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of various medicinal and radiation effects on the tumour.
