FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating system. Aerosol generating device (10) contains case (12), cavity (32) for accommodation of aerosol generating product (80), and hole (34) at least partially formed by case (12). Hole (34) is located at end of cavity (32) for insertion of aerosol generating product (80) to cavity (32) through hole (34). Aerosol generating device (10) also contains element (42) in the form of a lid, made with the possibility of movement relatively to case (12) between a closed position, in which element (42) in the form of a lid at least partially closes hole (34), and an open position, in which hole (34) is at least partially opened. Aerosol generating device (10) also contains sensor (26) made with the possibility of supply of an electrical signal indicating a location of element (42) in the form of a lid relatively to hole (34). Aerosol generating device (10) also contains element (74) in the form of an indicator, made with the possibility of movement relatively to sensor (26), when element (42) in the form of a lid is moved between the closed position and the open position, while the electrical signal supplied by sensor (26) is determined by a location of element (74) in the form of an indicator relatively to sensor (26). Aerosol generating device (10) also contains mechanical connecting element (50), while element (74) in the form of an indicator is made with the possibility of movement relatively to element (42) in the form of a lid, while mechanical connecting element (50) is made with the possibility of conversion of the movement of element (42) in the form of a lid between the closed position and the open position to the movement of element (74) in the form of an indicator relatively to sensor (26).

EFFECT: automatic closing of an element in the form of a lid is provided, when the second case is moved relatively to the first case.
