SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a charger for charging an aerosol-generating device. Charging device comprises a housing in which a cavity is formed to accommodate an aerosol-generating device to be charged. Cavity has an opening. At least one electrical contact is located in the cavity. Cover comprises a plurality of movable elements actuated between an open position and a closed position, wherein each of the movable elements has an inner surface facing the cavity when it is in the closed position. At least part of the inner surface of at least one of the movable elements of the cover forms a profiled interacting element having a leading edge and a trailing edge. Present invention further relates to an aerosol-generating system, which comprises a charger and an aerosol-generating device, and to a method of using the aerosol-generating system.
EFFECT: in the closed position, the movable elements support the electrical connection between the charging device and the aerosol generating device placed in the charging device.
