SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a charger for charging an aerosol-generating device, as well as an aerosol-generating system, which comprises such a charger and an aerosol generating device, as well as a method of using such an aerosol generating system. Charging device comprises a housing in which a cavity is formed to accommodate an aerosol-generating device to be charged. Cavity has an opening. At least one electrical contact is located in the cavity. Cover is made with possibility of sliding relative to opening between open position and closed position. Inner surface of the cover faces the cavity when the cover is in the closed position, and at least a portion of the inner surface of the cover forms a shaped interacting element, which is inclined into the cavity or in the direction of the cavity when the cover is in the closed position. In the closed position, the cover provides the electrical connection between the charger and the aerosol generating device, which is placed in the charger.
EFFECT: invention discloses a charging device and a system for generating an aerosol with improved closure means.
