FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to predict three-month survival in patients with stage IV pancreatic cancer using photodynamic therapy. For this purpose, the level of fibrinogen is determined in patients before the start of treatment. The level of fibrinogen above 3.40 g/l makes it possible to predict a decrease in the probability of three-month survival in patients with malignant neoplasm of the pancreas when using photodynamic therapy.
EFFECT: invention allows to predict three-month survival rate in patients with stage IV pancreatic malignancy with high reliability, sensitivity and specificity.
