SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used to ignite fuel at power generation units. Apparatus for electric ignition of a fuel-air mixture comprises a body and rod electrodes for generating an electric arc, installed in the fuel-air mixture supply pipeline. Conductive codirectional rods are mounted perpendicularly at the ends of the rod electrodes facing the fuel-air flow, so as to form a stable electric discharge, configured to move longitudinally to adjust the puncture distance.

EFFECT: possibility of increasing the reliability of ignition of the fuel-air mixture by providing the necessary puncture distance and the maximum ionising space.
