FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering. The controlled cascade electric drive contains two synchronous electric motors, the shafts of which are rigidly connected and electrically connected to each other. The stators of both electric motors are installed in a common housing, and the stator of the second electric motor is movable. A fastening ring is installed on the shaft of the first electric motor in the area of the shaft connection, on which there are two electromagnetic clutches, one of which creates contact between the friction pad with a ledge and the housing of the movable stator. The other creates contact between its friction pad with the motor shaft and the movable stator. The third electromagnetic clutch is fixed on the drive housing with the possibility of contact between the friction pad with the ledge and the housing of the movable stator. Pairs of slip rings and brushes are installed on the outer sides of the housing on the shafts of each electric motor for the possibility of installing couplings directly between the motors. The connection between the motor windings is carried out through an electronic controller.
EFFECT: expanding the control range of the controlled cascade electric drive and increasing the efficiency of the installation.
