FIELD: chemical and medical industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical and medical industries and can be used as an initial component for the manufacture of a biocompatible material for intraosseous implantation, for the manufacture of a composition for the restoration or treatment of dental caries in dentistry. A method is proposed for obtaining cerium-activated luminescent calcium orthophosphate by precipitation from aqueous solutions of calcium nitrate and ammonium hydrophosphate, taken in a molar ratio of cations to phosphate anions of 1.50±0.5, at a pH level of 7.0±0.2, with subsequent separation of the precipitate, washing, drying, wiping, characterized in that before mixing aqueous solutions, a solution of cerium nitrate (3+) is added to a solution of calcium nitrate in the following ratio of reagents, mol.%: calcium nitrate - 59.5-59.9 ; disubstituted ammonium phosphate - 40.0; cerium nitrate (3+) - 0.1-0.5. At the same time, the molar ratio (Ca+Ce)/Р=1.50±0.5 is observed, after synthesis, low-crystallized powders are obtained with the structure of orthorhombic tricalcium phosphate, the average particle size is 90-130 nm, the cerium content is 0.1-0.5 mol.%, characterized by luminescent ability when excited by ultraviolet light.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain calcium orthophosphate powder with the ability to luminesce in the range from 360 to 500 nm when irradiated with a light source with a wavelength of 270-320 nm.
