FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of information and measurement systems and can be used to solve problems of navigation and orientation in space. The claimed system for determining one’s own coordinates from three light sources contains: three digital video cameras placed on a tripod with a tribrach along the vertical axis of rotation; a video camera rotation unit that provides independent rotation of video cameras around the vertical axis; a controller; a video image processing unit; a computing unit; a data exchange unit. The direction of the vector of the main optical axis of the cameras is determined using optical encoders on the axis of the platform. The design of the system makes it possible to detect light sources, identify them by the frequency of flashing, measure the angles between the directions to them and determine one’s own coordinates in the line of sight of the light sources.
EFFECT: simultaneous automatic tracking of up to three light sources located at a known distance from each other, measuring the angles between the directions to them and determining in real time one’s own coordinates in the local coordinate system of light sources.
