SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in coordinate measuring systems, devices for forming three-dimensional images. Disclosed photogrammetric method of measuring distances by rotating a digital camera involves horizontalizing the camera so that its image plane is vertically, forming two images of objects obtained before and after turning the camera about a vertical axis passing through the point of intersection of the plane of the image with the main optical axis of the camera, by a given angle. Segmentation of images by colour is carried out. Thereafter, identical segments are detected on two images using digital image processing techniques. By triangle geometry theorems distance is calculated for each object presented by segment in images.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of measuring distances to all objects, as well as to separate parts differing in colour and located in field of view of digital camera lens.
